Drumstick Sambar / Nuggekai / Murungakki Sambar “Drumstick” is an easily available vegetable which is cultivated mostly in Asian and African regions. It is a staple vegetable in Southern India and is also widely consumed in other states.It is one of the oldest foods that our parents and grandparents and even those before them had been regularly eating it as part of their daily meals. Ingredients: Toor dal – 1 cup Drumstick 7-8, peeled and chopped in 3-4 inches in pieces Medium size potato - 1 Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp Sambhar powder– 2 tsp (adjust according to your taste) Mustard seeds-1/4 tsp Tomato – 1 Garlic cloves 4 Onion -1 Tamarind Juice 1 tsp Curry leaves – 5-8 Salt to taste Oil – 2 tbsp Coriander leaves Steps: Step 1: Pressure cook dal with turmeric powder, chopped tomatoes and garlic.
