Beetroot Curry

 


Ingredients:


  • 2 cups of small chopped beetroot
  • 1 tbsp of cooking oil
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 cups of water
  • 4-5 curry leaves
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp of sambar powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • Coriander leaves 



Preparation:


Step 1: Heat oil in pan over medium flame, add mustard seeds, curry leaves and onion.


Step 2: Stir for a while and then add chopped beetroot.


Step 3: Further add turmeric powder and sauté for a while.


Step 4: Add 2 cups of water, salt and sambar powder. Add chopped tomato and close the lid.


Step 5: Cook for 15-20 minutes, make sure beetroot are properly cooked and finely add 

coriander leaves.
